I'm trying to use Eclipse for the first time and have a couple of newbie
questions. Forgive me if these have been answered elsewhere, but I have
searched for documentation and haven't been able to find anything that
resolved my issues.
First: Will Eclipse run in Windows NT 4? It's not explicitly supported
but I wondered if anyone had success doing so.
Second: I'm experiencing difficulties downloading Eclipse. I would like
to download the zip for the latest stable build of the SDK for windows,
but when I do so it is not recognized as a valid archive. I have tried
several different mirrors and different versions. I found documentation
saying to delete any extra files generated by a previous download and try
again if the download fails, but this hasn't made any difference. I have
no problems downloading and opening other zips. Thoughts?
Regards,
David

Are you trying to pull a stable release build or one of the nightly
builds? If its a nightly, then it could just be a bad zip. If its one of
the releases, then I'd say something is mixed up on your end since we
are all using/commenting on the releases (2.1.2 and 3.0M4).
Maybe try and grab one of the stable releases, see if that works. Are
you using a download accelerator? While I've only had them corrupt a
couple downloads out of 1000s, maybe try downloading it without the
accelerator turned on.
