Hello,
I try to use the non integrated ACAgent to profile a remote application.
The remote app runs on a linux RH4 and I try to profile on a windows XP
with eclipse europa and the last tptp plugin.
I use the last acagent version : agntctrl.linux_ia32-TPTP-4.4.0.3 de
ACAgent and i have set PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH and fixed the different
agent.xml files (\replaced by / and suppress .exe)
I can run the SampleClient without error on the linux plateform (port
10006) but when I try to run my java app (with the
-XrunpiAgent:server=enabled option) the ACAgent seems to crash and I have
this message in the shell :
Agent Controller is not active: will wait in a 1000 ms loop
The ACServer process is then killed and a core fil is generated :
(gdb) where
#0 0x01d5e66c in os::report_fatal_error () from
/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_06/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so

#9 0x00116371 in start_thread () from /lib/tls/libpthread.so.0
#10 0x00280ffe in clone () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6
(gdb)
I also have a message in the ptpParseError.log :
(09/03/07 10:41:33 ACServer) XML Error: Invalid document structure (error
detected at line:1, col:1, in "parseMessage()")
DO you have an idea ? I have done something wrong or is there a bug in the
ACAgent ?
Of course it is impossible to see any agent in the profileDialog of
eclipse but I can connect to the host on the 10006 port (connection test
success) which is weird since ACServer is down...
Thanks a lot for your help !

Concerning JVMTI / JVMPI, I will have a look to it but since I run my app
with jre 1.4.2_06, maybe it will be impossible to use JVMTI profiling...
Thanks for your help...
