Hi,
I am using Eclipse 3.0M4 on windows 2000.
I select the Hierarchy view and then select "link with editor" from the
drop down menu of Hierarchy view (the menu item "link with editor" now
appear with a check mark).
Expected behavior:
When I select a file (.java) from editor window, the hierarchy view
should display that classes hierarchy. When I swith to a different .java
file in the editor, the hierarchy view should show hierarchy for that file.
Behavior seen:
When started, the view show message "To display the type herarchy,
select a type (..), and select the 'Open type hierarchy' menu option. ...."
When a .java file is select from the editor list, it's hierarchy is not
getting displayed. The hierarchy is still the hierarchy of old type
which got shown by selecting "Open type hierarchy" from explorer context
menu.
Looks like the option "Link with editor" is not working for hierarchy view.
I am sure I have seen the same behavior with Eclipse 2.1, latest
release, as well and on every 3.0 milestone build as well.
Am I doing anything worng? Is this a bug?
