I have installed VE and it is in the plugins window under help, I have also
ran eclipse.exe - clean, however, there is no option to create a new Visual
Project.

Any Ideas?

There is no concept of a visual project. You can have visual classes in
any Java project. To create a visual class in a Java project use the
New->Visual Class wizard.

I have experienced the same problem upon a fresh install of Eclipse. After experimenting for awhile here is what worked for me!

- I reinstalled Eclipse 3.1 from scratch
- I used update manager to install EMF, GEF and VE
http://www.eclipse.org/vep/WebContent/faq.html#install_howto

- Durring the install process instead of clicking "Install All" button I clicked "Install" button for each plugin, I also clicked the "Apply Changes" button instead of restarting Eclipse and "applied changes to perspective". I then had the add "Visual Class" option from the "Create New Class" action. The Visual Class is at the botton of action menu.

Did the steps I performed make a difference? Well all I can say is aftering trying to get the Visual Editor installed trying eveything I could with no luck, the above worked first time and I didn't even restart Eclipse.

Hope this is helpful to someone!
