maven multi module error: Unable to ignore resources Attempted to beginRule: xxx does not match oute [message #1072278] Mon, 22 July 2013 08:51 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
team,

i have seen the following error on both juno and kepler when trying to create a multi module maven project.

'Auto share git projects' has encountered a problem
Unable to ignore resources
Attempted to beginRule: F/automation-utils/modile1, does not match outer scope rule: MultiRule[P/module1]

i can get around it by disabling

<window><preferences><tesm><git><projects><auto share projects located in a git repository>
and

<window><preferences><tesm><git><projects><Automatically ignore derived resources by adding them to .gitignore>

but cannot seem to narrow down exactly what egit is unhappy about...anyone else seen this, and know what the issue is?

many thanks,

mike

Thanks for the tip, I don't have the notification every 15 seconds.

It's not a complete solution, I can't ignore some resources due to the same error. Anyone is working on the bug?

It's really annoying

Best

The same happens here. Even disabling the git preferences, I'm still having the error every time I try to add a resource to .gitignore file

Looks to me like this has been fixed in 3.0.2 I hope?

Another workaround:
Error appeared in Maven project. I have added "target" folder in gitignore outside Eclipse (in TortoiseGit), and error disappeared.
