How do you check out and work on files in the SVN [message #1097556] Thu, 29 August 2013 18:16 Go to next message

OK, so I have Eclipse installed, I have Subversive installed, I am connected to my SVN repository on my server.

Now, I actually want to edit some of the code. Here is where I am stuck.

First, it appears that you can only check out a folder, not a specific file. Second, when I do check out the folder, how do I then go and edit the local copy? Third, when I am finished editing, how do I get the updated file back in the SVN and checked in?

Thanks for any help.
Dom

Hello Dom,

I don't know if there is any actuality in answering now, but here is the reference to SVN red book: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.7/index.html
It will help you to understand everything about SVN form the easiest parts to the hardest ones.
