Better movement inside an editor [message #1074167] Fri, 26 July 2013 04:09 Go to next message

Hello!

I've build an editor, all works fine.
But what I don't really like 100% is the movement inside an editor, its like you have some "walls" and you cant move your "sight" somewhere where is no elements.
Is it possible to realize that i can move me also outside, where is no elements?
hope i described my wish understandable
If yes, can you give me a hint how?

regards AndrejK

Andrej,

that will push GEF to its limits in the current implementation. Not sure if
that is what you would like to have but there is a mode you could switch
Graphiti to so that the scrollbars are always visible and you may use them
to adjust what you see between the "walls". For details see the method
IToolBehaviorProvider.getDiagramScrollingBehavior(). Note however, that that
mode is implemented using some hacks on the GEF side, so we cannot really
guarantee that that mode will continue to work in the future...
