Git Systems Integrator
The Eclipse Foundation (www.eclipse.org) has an challenging opportunity for a Git Systems Integrator located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Working in a fast-paced environment under the supervision of the IT Director, this position involves the design, testing and implementation of remote systems integration using Git. Some of the technologies used may include Python, HTML5/CSS3, Javascript, Java, and REST APIs, but we believe in using the right tool for the job.
Responsibilities:
• Build systems to interface with remote Git systems and related tools,
• Design and implement web-based tools and applications,
• Communicate and collaborate with all involved parties, prioritize tasks and milestones,
• Gather requirements, propose and implement solutions,
• Develop processes and author documentation.
Skills/Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or other related technical field,
• Four years of programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Perl, Javascript, Java, Ruby,
• Solid understanding of Linux, Git, TCP/IP networking, and REST API,
• Proven ability to deliver robust, functional and maintainable solutions,
• Solid troubleshooting and bug reporting skills,
• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills with strong attention to detail.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in IT and Systems Engineering
• Knowledge of PHP and SQL
• Knowledge of Linux shell scripting
