Property View - Unhandled event loop exception [message #1032039] Tue, 02 April 2013 09:52 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
I have a number of nodes on the canvas, each with a textual name. I have implemented a property section as per tutorial that extends GFPropertySection and implements ITabbedPropertyConstants.

If I select a node on the canvas and display the property view, I can edit the textual name. If I select another node on the canvas, the 'name' field for this other node is shown correctly in the property view, however, if I click in the 'name' field, I get the exception shown below.

I have established that after selecting the second node, if I click on the property 'tab', this activates the property view and I do not see the error.

I have also established that this same behaviour is exhibited in the graphiti tutorial; adding two classes to the canvas and clicking between them with the property view open, when attempting to click in the name field, the exception is thrown.

I would appreciate any assistance in understanding the behaviour and pointers to a resolution.

Many thanks

Dan

For any interested parties, it appears that this may related to machine specific SWT issues as further detailed in the following:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=371245
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=375964

I shall post an update once I have investigated further.

Hi,
i have ceated a graphical editor and tried to synchronize the editing text label with its own property view (as it is described in tutorial) but it did not work. After selecting I get just an error :Contributor MyDiagram.PropertyContributor cannot be created.
Thanks
Mourad

Najd,

there might be some more information on that error in the Eclipse error log.
Have you checked that? It seems that your contributor cannot bne created.
