Check to see if View is minimized [message #1024123]

Is it possible to check if a view is minimized? I have developed a dashboard with multiple views, and each of the views contain some elements that will be auto-refreshed in X amount of seconds. I want to be able to stop the refresh if a view is minimized to cut down the use of resource. How can I check the state of the view?

is IWorkbenchPage#isPartVisible() what you are looking for?
