Dear All,

I am wondering which is the best route to take.

If I use the PDE to create a plugin (say hello world) the PDE sets up
the relevant eclispe plugin libs underneath the src dir as
ECLIPSE_HOME/plugins etc.

Reading the docs it says (when building a plugin) to import the relevant
eclipse plugin code (e.g. the resources.jar) as a java project.

I would like to import a plugin a friend has sent me as a Java project
(as source) such that I can use it as a learning tool

A) What is the difference between the way the PDE does it & importing
the resources or swt or ui etc as projects?

B) Which is the "preferred method".

C) How do I set up a plugin imported from source (vs built using the
PDE) to use the ECLIPSE_HOME/ ETC method?

TIA

Adam
