using system environment variable with java from eclipse [message #101681]

Eclipse User

In my development environment various tools and plugins require access to
environment variables set via shell scripts etc. Is there anyway to
set/change these from within an eclipse session?? I would prefer not
having to call environment setting scripts during eclipse startup since
many users may need to change or modify while running eclipse.
