RAP 2.0 ClientService: ExitConfirmation [message #1012950] Fri, 22 February 2013 09:02 Go to next message

Is there any doc regarding the feature "ExitConfirmation"? In my app i just 'tested' this service and set a custom message. When leaving the web site it behaves different, depending on the web browser i am using:

Firefox: there is a popup message "Diese Seite bittet Sie zu bestätigen, dass Sie die Seite verlassen möchten Daten, die Sie eingegeben haben, werden unter Umständen nicht gespeichert." - but my custom message isn't showing up.

Internet Explorer: there is a popup message as well, which includes my custom message.

Is this a correct behavior? What should I expect by using this feature?

Hi Thorsten,
the intended behavior is the one in IE - popup message with your custom
text. Chrome and Opera behave the same. Unfortunately, since Firefox 4.0
(if I'm not mistaken) it's not possible to change the text and Firefox
displays it's own text.
Best,
Ivan

That's browser behavior, we cannot change it. It's actually stated in
the JavaDoc of ExitConfirmation:

"Please note that some browsers ignore the message and only display
a generic confirmation dialog if a message is set."
