Juno CDT build Index -> Out of memory [message #1004962] Thu, 24 January 2013 03:08 Go to next message

Hello together,

I just upgraded from indigo to juno. Now if eclipse generates the index for my workspace it runs for a long time and than report a java out of memory error.

It will work if I remove all the include paths. Especially the Qt includes seem to provide a problem. Ok, these are a lot of files, so I try to increase the java memory, by starting eclipse with -vmargs -Xmx1024m arguments. But this does not help either.

Any idea how to solve this?

Hi Kai,

report a bug on Bugzilla (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/).

Explain the type of project and that the indexer works with the older Eclipse (3.8.x) and not with the new 4.x version.

Then switch back to 3.8.x for daily work Smile

And please add the Bugzilla-Link here in this forum...

regards,
Klaus
