CSS property 'unselected-tabs-color' has been deprecated [message #1006407]

Hi,

I installed eclipse juno (see attached img) and created a simple Application.e4xmi file and worked on it with the model editor. When I run the product, it works fine so far, but it gives me the "deprecated"- messages below and I'm wondering if I missed something with the installation ?

Why do you think you missed something? The deprecated messages tell you that your CSS uses deprecated properties that have been renamed. So you only need to adjust your CSS to get it working without the deprecated messages.

You are partly right - for the default.css I use (should be maybe updated in the eclipse default e4 project wizard as well). But in there, are only two of the mentioned ones. The others stated as deprecated, are added by the model editor and I did not make any reference to them in my default.css or anywhere else. So I'm asking myself, if I got an deprecated version of the model editor or if the actual version is just creating a deprecated styling internally ?

I was using http://download.eclipse.org/e4/updates/ . Is there any other/more recent one ?

Thanks for the link,
but there are 2 things bothering me:

1.) the message says org.eclipse.e4.ui.css.core - so I have no idea which I have to update to get a new version of the org.eclipse.e4.ui.css.core just the tooling I guess is not doing the thing, as the rendering is not done in the model editor?

2.) I'm not sure if I'm the only one wondering how ever one is suppose to keep track of all the updates, if the update site for a project/plugin/etc. is changes all the time ? Is there a centralized place where I can keep track of such or is that just known among developers actually working on the code?

2.) http://www.eclipse.org/projects/project.php?id=eclipse.e4 and click downloads on the left. There you have all sorts of builds along with dates for the tooling.

Thanks for pointing me to the download section - sometimes you don't see the things which are right in front of your eyes......

I'm running now Eclipse Juno 4.2 Release 0.12 with tooling from download.eclipse.org/e4/updates/0.12 (which I hope is the latest version of the tooling??? I could not really verify that)

"latest version" is a relative term, it depends which build channel you are monitoring (Integration, Release, Stable etc). If you want the latest build e4 anywhere on earth grab the latest integration build. Hint: the build name is IyyyyMMdd-HHmm. That is I20130130-1900 means it is a build of 30th January 2013 started at 7 pm Ottawa time. The release latest build might be older than the integration latest build. I suggest you use the latest integration build as we keep the integration build pretty stable. So bottom line, keep an eye on the integration builds in the download page I told you if you want the latest.

Well, actually I need both. I always run two development environments one for the development for customers, which goes with the releases - and another one for testing which is either integration or stable.

Actually I'm trying to migrate a Eclipse 3.x RCP with JPA to Eclipse Juno 4.2 Release 0.12 with tooling from download.eclipse.org/e4/updates/0.12
and I'm also testing Kepler and the tooling for e4 which I do not exactly know for Kepler which one is the best to combine.
This also goes for the JPA where there is now the move from EclipeLink to Gemini not to mention the tooling for JPA (Dali).

I actually find it a bit difficult to put together a environment that is reliable and future proof and has the maximum on tooling support for an RCP/JPA application on Eclipse 4.x.
