Yes, I am in a Microprocessor class/lab and would I already have Altera Quartus II 12.1

Which Eclipse software should I download on my computer for programming
a Cyclone IV GX trainer board??

I think it might be the Helios.

Helios is a version of Eclipse, and an out of date one at that. I don't know if there is anything for Eclipse that deals with your microprocessor class, but it should start with a Luna SR1 download from http://download.eclipse.org.

If you mean software development for the NIOS II soft processor, get a current Eclipse (now: Luna) with C/C++ development tools, and from the running Eclipse, you can add VHDL editing tools for the logic design part.

The NIOS II compiler toolkit is to be set up as a GCC cross-compiler.
