I'm trying to write to a console view using eclipse 2.0.
Upgrading to eclipse 3.0 isn't an option.

I can't find any resources on how to create a console view in eclipse 2.0.
I have imported org.eclipse.ui.console from eclipse 3.0 into my plugin.
At runtime I get an exception:

Unhandled exception caught in event loop.
Reason:
org/eclipse/core/runtime/jobs/ISchedulingRule

Can anybody tell me how I write to the consule using eclipse 2.0.

With the forms API this trick worked.
