Hello there Eclipse community.

I love Eclipse and have been using it for a long time. Now however i
cannot use it as I decided to go with Windows x64 with my new AMD
computer. How come there is still no version of Eclipse for x64? Open
source projects are usually quick to offer versions for new techonlogys.
Will there ever be an x64 compatible version of eclipse and if so, when
will it be released?

Björn,

There's an enhancement request open for porting to Windows x64 -
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=57151 but it hasn't been
committed in the plan. Until it is addressed, you can run Eclipse using
a 32 bit JRE.
