Manage pagination for tables [message #1585789] Mon, 26 January 2015 08:35 Go to next message

Hi,
Sorry for my English but I am newbie with Birt Reports.
I'm working with a table (DataSource & DataSet are linked OK).
This dataSet has more than 40 items where is defined the Page Break (61 rows query returns), but this table try to put this first 40 items on the first page and PDF report doesn't show full page width 100%, but the second one (21 rows are viewed correctly).

How is the way to define the properties of table to get all datas with the same appearance?

My header Report is : <property name="createdBy">Eclipse BIRT Designer Version 3.7.1.v20110905 Build <3.7.1.v20110905-1820></property>

With <property name="createdBy">Eclipse BIRT Designer Version 4.3.2.v20140211-1400 Build <4.3.2.v20140218-1056></property> the export to PDF is wrong too.

Attached PDF test

Thanks

Check the Page Break Interval on the Table Properties tab. Set it to 0 unless you want to control the page break.

Thanks for your reply Jerry,
but I think that I have some configurations about the page or something...
Now, if I modified your parameters, I export this pdf...
I am using a scripting to fill the fields table.

i need the same appearance that the second sheet of the first pdf document.

Bye

Hello,
Can someone do an example of "BIRT REPORT" with a table that keeps the format and is adjusted to 100% with the lateral margins and if it contains more than 100 records to be more than a page without losing the style?

Thank You

Could you attach a sample design that uses the sample data base (Classic Models) or another data type that you can provide the data file so I can see your setup and test on a report I know has the issue you're seeing? In the meantime, I'll try to reproduce the issue you're having.

Definitely going to need a sample report from you that I can run and test on. I'm not seeing the same. Look forward to seeing your sample so I can try to help. Smile

Hi Michael,
Here I send you an example with classic models but my report is an scripting type.

The height of rows is 50px but in my real report maybe the size is random because the strings are not the same length.

I want the same style that the last example and the last page...

Sorry if you dont understand me because English is not my language.

Thanks

I'm sorry. I'm not receiving the same output as you no matter how I run this to PDF. Can you tell me exactly how you're running the report to get this output? I'm running it from the designer, straight to PDF. I've also run it to the viewer and then exported to PDF with all the different options. Do I need to use the deployed viewer or Java code to reproduce what you're seeing? Let me know. Smile
