As far as I can see, the purpose of a workspace is to group related projects. That make sense, however in most cases you would also want to put some files such as documentation or information, which is not related to any specific project, but rather to the entire group.

A good example is a product that includes a backend(e.g. server), frontend (standalone app), and even few more (library, etc).

In that case, some files regarding the product it self and not the project have no place to be (no good one, anyway).

I think a solution can be either:
- Be able to create an 'empty project'. That is, a project that only holds sub-projects and files. However, this force all the projects to be under a project, and seems to waste the point of the workspace.

- Enable creating files & folders under the workspace directly without a parent. This is, in my opinion, the better solution.
