Remove project from EGIT [message #1578671] |

I have recently started to use egit. The project, that I have been training the usage of EGIT with, was moved out of Eclipse's regular workspace and into the GIT working directory after I put it under version control.
Is there a way to put the project back to normal Eclipse workspace if I do no longer want to have it under version control?
Thanks in advance.

@Matthias
Yes, works for me too ... if you want to take files out of version control...
Er, but what if you don't? I don't know how to put this gently: THIS IS A MASSIVE BUG.
Thus, the first thing you try out as a newb with your plugin, following the only lucid instructions available about Egit, namely vogella, actually leaves Eclipse in an inconsistent state!
Given that this is a plugin whose only function is to work with Eclipse, shouldn't you be doing something about this as a matter of urgency? NB logged as a bug in November 2014: Eclipse bugs 451521
As it stands your plugin is not currently fit for purpose and, worse, is shipped as standard with the Eclipse Luna distro.
