does anyone have any recommendations on how to get eclipse running
quicker:
window tabbing is painfully slow, everything runs with 2-3 second delays
(opening a
new, small .java file in an editor presents a substantial delay). is my
machine just too
slow?:
eclipse 2.1
mac os x 10.2
powerbook g4 400Mhz (i know, a little weak)
512 M Ram
java 1.4
for now I just want to use the java ide without such delays. is it
possible to build from
source and deploy in x11? would that speed things up? mac java would end
up
displaying in carbon anyway, right? tips and techniques welcome and
appreciated.
thanks,
todd

I'd suggest getting the latest integration build. There's a lot to be
done for the OS X version, but the SWT team is working on it.
