Hi, I just unzipped Eclipse and is new to JAVA. When I tried to run
eclipse.exe from my desktop, it gives me the error: "Error registering XML
parser services". Also, how do I check whether VM is on my machine.

Thanks in advance.

You need a 1.4 VM. Run "java -version" to see what your default is.

After running java -version, it prints java version "1.3.1"
Where can I get VM and how do I load it?

Thanks for your prompt reply

Just use Google and search for "download JRE".
Install it, and then use the instructions in FAQ 25.
