I need help please. I got this error when installing e(fx)clipse 1.1.0 on Spring tool suite 3.6.3 which is built on Eclipse Luna :
Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
  Software being installed: e(fx)clipse - IDE 1.1.0.201411050807 (org.eclipse.fx.ide.feature.feature.group 1.1.0.201411050807)
  Software currently installed: Spring Tool Suite 3.6.3.201411281415-RELEASE-e44 (org.springsource.sts.ide 3.6.3.201411281415-RELEASE-e44)
  Only one of the following can be installed at once:

I tried both the update site URL htt p://download.eclipse.org/efxclipse/updates-released/1.1.0/site and the nightly update htt p://download.eclipse.org/efxclipse/updates-nightly/site but I got the same error.

[EDIT] I'm using Win7 x64 and JDK 1.8.0_25.

Same exact problem here. Even added update-site for Xtext depdencies as per eclipse.org/efxclipse/install.html

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

STS ships with our core bundles "org.eclipse.fx.javafx" and
"org.eclipse.fx.osgi" because they make use JavaFX in their product
unfortunately as it looks like they don't use our minimal runtime
feature when assembling the product but include them in one of their
feature.

I'll go to see if I can get one of the STS guys on to this.

Thanks a bunch Tom!

Do be sure to let us know what they say. I am using the separate precompiled binary for now. It really isn't the most ideal solution for my needs.

Hi,

Just got a response today from one of the project leads and they are
fixing the problem for the next release where they'll ship with the
feature from us so the next release should be compatible with the just
released e(fx)clipse 1.2.0.

I updated the Spring Tool Suite builds to include the latest minimal runtime feature of e(fx)clipse 1.2.0 and there is a nightly distribution build available for testing now:
http://dist.springsource.com/snapshot/STS/nightly-distributions.html

Please go to the second section (STS 3.6.4 on Eclipse 4.4.1) select your preferred platform. Hope that this update fixes these issues.
The STS 3.6.4 release is scheduled shortly after Eclipse Luna SR2.
