Advanced graphics info on SWT FAQ is outdated [message #1552924] Thu, 08 January 2015 06:53
Eclipse UserFriend
The following FAQ's imply that advanced graphics works with Cairo version 0.4.0 and later, and that RHEL 5 is a platform that supports advanced graphics:

https://www.eclipse.org/swt/faq.php#advancedgraphics
https://www.eclipse.org/swt/faq.php#nographicslibrary

Comments in bug #441705 explain that after SWT started using CAIRO_OPERATOR_DIFFERENCE, the requirement changed to Cairo version 1.9.4. At the time of writing, the only RHEL distribution that satisfies this requirement is RHEL 7.

Maybe the FAQ should be updated.

Regards,
Peter.
