Hi!
Is it possible to run Eclipse 3 on a Windows terminal server?
Are there any precautions to observe?
Thanks in advance
Matteo

If it will be accessed by several users simultaneously, you might want
to take caution that Eclipse creates a .lock file preventing you from
launching Eclipse twice.

Look into using command-line parameters to specify the user's home
directory for the workspace and for the lockfiles (use Windows'
%USERNAME% variable for this).

Good luck

My idea is to install Eclipse on terminal server.
Then (this is my goal) several users should be able to run it
simultaneously.
Any user should have his workspace, and all users should be able to use
eclipse and its plug-ins simultaneously.

Anyone experienced?
thank you again
Matteo

I'm able to install GEF plug-in, but when I try to install (I'm connecting
to terminal server via remote desktop connection with an administrator
user) JFaceDbc e sunshinereports plug-ins, the import wizard doesn't find
them.
Every user has his own workspace.
Any suggestions about this?
thank you
Matteo

Use common extension location for system-wide plugins and personal
extension location for user-specific plugins.
