Additional Help modules [message #280503] Fri, 04 February 2005 07:01 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

I would like to add other contents into the help system.

Following contents:

1. Java doc help.
2. Gnu glibc - help
3. Linux kernel - help
4. Linux man - pages.

It would be handy if these are accessible in the editor by just
hitting F1 when you stand above a word. Some kind of Content
Assisten would also be nice.

Anyone who knows any good links or good ideas about this.

/Thanks

Help accepts documentation in HTML format. For topics to appear in the help
navigation, an XML files - TOCs must be contributed to org.eclipse.help.toc
extension point. As help is not aware of editor concept, the launching of
specific help topic would need to be implemented in specific editors.
