I have been trying (for quite a long time) to get the Eclipse examples
to work. Specifically, I have (manually) found the source zips for the
JavaEditor example, however there is no manifest, or anything of the
project aside from source code.
I've reinstalled eclipse and the examples several times in the hopes I
could get this to work. I usually give up, and guess at what the PDE
Programmers Guide is hinting at, wasting lots of time. I'm at the point
where I just can't understand what the docs are saying anymore, so I
need to see how this project works.
I've tried making a manifest for it myself, but it never seems to work.
I seem to take care of all the dependencies and extensions, but I just
can't get it to run. If I can't get this example code to run, how am I
supposed to get *my* project on its feet?
Is there some known bug here, that my searches have proven fruitless for?
