WinXP manifest on limited acces machines [message #274455] Thu, 21 October 2004 15:47
Eclipse UserFriend
Is there anyway to use the WinXP manifest when the user doesn't have write
access to the JRE installation directory? I'm installing Eclipse through
JavaWebStart. I'd like to use the javaw.exe.manifest file, but can't
install it into the JRE directory. It's also not acceptable to include my
own JRE due to the large install size (~20M). Is there any way to start
java with the manifest outside of that?

Thanks,
Stephen
