This may seem like a strange question, but let's say I want to develop a
project on Windows, then work on the same project on Linux on another
machine. I would just copy the project directory over from one machine to
the other. Does anyone know of any problems with doing this? Has anyone
ever tried such a thing? It seems like it should work fine, but it's
better to ask the experts about any potential problems to be aware of.

many thanks,

B

It'd probably be better to set up a cvs server to handle the code rather
than manually moving it back and forth all the time. This would also
handle the differences in new line characters between the two platforms.
