Hi all,

Is it possible to use Eclipse on OS X without having to install a recent JDK? I have installed the latest Oracle JRE (8-25 I guess) but, even after adding the proper lines to the eclipse.ini file, the program complains about some missing JNI_CreateJavaVM symbol.
I had to install Oracle JDK, instead, and change the Info.plist file accordingly.

Now, did anyone manage to make it work with Oracle JRE only? JDK installation is about 0.5 GB and it really annoys me, as my HD is currently running out of free space.

Regards,

N
