BIRT and embedded fonts [message #1481935] Fri, 21 November 2014 05:44 Go to next message

Hi,

i have made an notice. I'm using barcode in some of my reports and generate pdf-documents. The barcode (CODE39) is partiell embedded into pdf. If i check properties --> fonts it looks like expected ABCDEF+CODE39.TTF

So i gave my report to a friend, and he renders it. Font looks like ABCDEF+CODE39_1.TTF on his pdf-document. But on windows we both installed the same font. He is able to see barcode on my pdf, but i'm not able to see barcode on his pdf, cause code39_1 is unknown.

We tried the same with some other fonts. For e.g "Walt Disney". There's no ".TTF" and no "_1". Next time fontname is lowerCase.

So what is BIRT doing? And how can i manipulate this behaviour on naming embedded fonts?

Kind regards

Marina Orth

So, the issue only happened with the barcode font?

On this time yes.

Maybe is something special with this font? See attachment for tests...

I don't know how to go on

Kind regards Marina
