Ok, enough guessing, could you please explain what you mean with
Novell? I read that the firm novell has a 1.4 jdk for its server. My
picture of novell is that they provide server side services (and
clients of course ), but nothing like an own operating system or
platform. So I do not see how SWT could ported to 'Novell'.

Hi,
Novell allow developers to create a Swing base server side application as
well, means this program are run at the Novell server side.
SWT of cause beter than Swing if SWT exist in Novell as well.

Besides that I do not think that there will be a SWT port for Novell,
could you explain this server side Swing-App a bit more. Is this sth.
like the windows terminal server or X on unix?
