"Cannot connect to keystore" error [message #267061] Fri, 12 December 2008 08:34 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi all -

I am running Eclipse 3.4.1 on Red Hat Enterprise 5.0 and trying to install
CDT 5.0.2. The install is failing - giving me the error message:

"An error occurred during provisioning.
Cannot conenct to keystore.
JKS".

I've seen previous posts to this group that say the problem can be fixed
by installing JRE 1.6 and updating it in the Eclipse
Window->Preferences->Java->Installed JREs menu selection. I've done that,
but the install still fails. There was a post that said to execute the
following command in a terminal:

update-alternatives ?config java.

I did that too - and the problem is still there. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
Ken

Updating there isn't going to help you here.

Where is your Java 1.6 installation? Once you have located it, please
find the 'java' binary in its bin/ folder.

Afterwards, try starting Eclipse like...

../eclipse -vm /path/to/sun-jdk-1.6.0.10/bin/java

....and see how that goes.
