on linux, there two possible options as far as know. you can use wtk
preverifier (that is the same as phoneme. it is a gpl solution).
or motorola also has a linux version of its sdk. so if you download
andinstall it you can also use the preverifier that they provide.
i'm glad to know that you would like to see the proguard preverification.
we will see if we can have this integrated on mtj 1.0

hi,
with microemu, the best option to preverify is to download and configure
an external preverifier. so if you are using macos, for instance, you can
download mpowerpalyer sdk that already come with a preverifier compiled to
macos. you can setup the preverifier on windows->preferences->java
me->preverifier
if you want to use proguard, there is a patch in one bug that actually
does that
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=234139
but it is not yet integrated into mtj. you would need to setup the
development environment and apply the patch (i'm not sure if this will
work).
the easiest way is definitly the external preverifier
:)

I'm using Fedora 10 on a x86_64 machine, so it's all a bit tricky and I
would prefer to have a complete free software solution (which is the case
if I use ProGuard + MicroEmu + MTJ). It's good to know that work is
underway to have ProGuard supported as preverifier, I can wait for that or
play with the patch time permitting. For now my CLI scripts work well
enough...
Thanks for your reply :)
