Disable current line number display? [message #266931] Sun, 07 December 2008 12:50 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello All,

I've done some searching but have not found a way to turn off the current
line number display at the bottom of the editor window. How can this
display be turned off?

Any help is appreciated

Rick,

You mean the status line at the bottom of the Eclipse window? I don't
think you can turn that off; it's there even when no editor is opened...

True and not true ;-)

The status bar is part of the workbench window but most of the
individual items (e.g. line:column) are contributed by the active part.
Having said that, as a user you can neither hide the whole status bar
nor the line number item. However, if you write your own editor (or
view) you can decide what's being shown in the status bar.
