Can I change root folder in Package Explorer [message #265918] Tue, 28 October 2008 12:21 Go to next message

I have several packages in my workspace. While working on a project I
would like to be able to change the root node of the Package Explorer from
my workspace to the current project. Is this possible?

Example:

Before:
workspace
|
+Project 1
||_Folder one
||_Folder Two
+Project 2
+Project 3

After:
Project1
|_Folder one
|_Folder two

Chaim,

The right arrow in the view's toolbar does that. So does right click
and "Go Into".

Working Sets are your friends :-)
See this page (which is also available in your local Eclipse Help
contents):

Hope this helps,
Eric

I have been working solely with Python and the pydev extensions. It
appears that is not available. I created a Java project and the "Go Into"
menu item becomes available and does do what I want. I will have to put in
an enhancement request in with Fabio to make that available in the pydev
perspective.

Thank you for your help.

Ed's tip to use Go Into was what I was looking for. However, it looks like
Working Sets are definitely something I should be using.

Thank you.
