Is it possible to store Papyrus models using CDO rather than files.

Hi Patrik,

It is indeed possible, when you install the CDO integration component, which is an extra Papyrus feature. However, this component has not been much used (Since the focus is currently on the EGit + Compare integration), so you will probably run into a few bugs when using it.

When you set up a CDO server, you have to add the org.eclipse.emf.cdo.server.ocl dependency, which is required for the Papyrus integration (Note that I've only used the h2 Database example shipped with CDO; I can't help with setting up a real CDO database)

Regards,
Camille

Yes, we have a CDO and Papyrus integration. This integration is part of the extra components for Papyrus.

You can install it with the extra component discovery interface of Papyrus (in the toolbar, the small papyrus icon).

There is an embedded documentation (Help > Help contents) for the usage of CDO within Papyrus, and there is also this page for introduction: https://www.eclipse.org/papyrus/project-info/new_and_noteworthy_0.10.0.php

Finally, there are also a few videos on youtube, searching for "papyrus CDO repository"

Hope this helps!
