Any way to pick/block update mirrors? [message #262699] Thu, 07 August 2008 16:08
Eclipse UserFriend
Is there any way in Ganymede to either select which mirrors are used for
updates or block particular mirrors?

I just installed Ganymede and I'm trying to install extra features.
They seem to be coming from randomly selected mirrors. Unfortunately,
the mirror at Georgia Tech keeps crapping out part way through a
download. Canceling that one thread has no effect. Canceling the
entire installation has no effect. Either way, Eclipse just sits there
waiting for GaTech to respond. It's much more patient than I am. All I
can do is exit Eclipse, restart, start the installation again and hope
for the best. I just managed to install two pieces of the database
support in "only" three tries. :-(

I can't find anything that controls mirrors, but maybe there's a setting
in an .ini file somewhere? One can only hope ...

/Paul
