Changing the menu items through customize perspective does not work for me most of the time. Some items I can add and remove, but others either cannot be added or cannot be removed. What works and doesn't is not consistent across the perspectives, so, for example, In the Database Development perspective I can't see the SQL Editor menu even though it's checked under the menu visibility tab, but I can see it if I want under the Java perspective. I'm using Kepler, but I've had this problem using other versions with other workbenches on other computers, so if it is not a problem with Eclipse in general, maybe it is caused by some plugin I keep installing. Anyway, is there another way I can customize a perspective's menu, like through a preferences file somewhere? Thanks.
