Build per branch [message #1456734] Thu, 30 October 2014 13:14 Go to next message

Hi All,

I am a newbie to Hudson and i am looking for a solution for mt project needs.

I have a GIT Repo and we have 20 branches in it. Do i need to create an hudson job per each branch?

Is it possible to have a single job, where i can paramertize the branch name. Is there a way to find out the branch details which are changes in a GIT repo and then kick off the hudson job?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards,
Kiran.

I think it may be possible to create post commit hook at git and then invoke a build in Hudson with appropriate parameters from that post commit hook.

You can use Jenkins and "Jenkins Build per Branch"
http://entagen.github.io/jenkins-build-per-branch/
