Hello,

When removing the clearPersistedState argument from my lauch configuration, my application shows only a white screen, nothing more, without error message.

When I put the argument back, the application relaunches without any problem.

Any tips on how to debug such a situation... ? Where can I try to find the problem ?

Thomas

Look at the e4xmi that has been persisted after you shutdown. What's the
content there?

Can I find the e4xmi in another place than at the plugin root ?

It seems very normal to me, with all addons, handlers, parts, commands, etc. intact.

You need to use the one store in the runtime-workspace - look at the
main tab of your launch configuration!

The only file I see in runtime-workspace is workbench.xmi, that's the right one?

Differences I see :

Encoding is no longer UTF-8, but ASCII, and
all the "xmi:id" are different, nothing else noteworthy.

Just to give it a try, I changed encoding in UTF-8, but without result.

right ".metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.e4.workbench/workbench.xmi" is the
correct one!

I'm not sure what do suggest. You can package up the application and
send it to me - maybe I can reproduce it.

.... at least the workbench.xmi would be of interest.
