hello!
some time ago i followed a tutorial by Lars Vogel [1] to create Reports with Birt.
In the meantime i updated Birt and my old code seems broken (i was generating the report-xml files)
so now i think its time to go on and use POJO's
but this is the part where my question rises up.
i saw the little demo video where POJO jar is included [2]
and the 'New and Notable Feature' page [3]
(these sources are all i found with google.)
So i tried to implement a DataSet for it, which worked out fine.
but what i do not get (yet!) is how can i get "non-static" content to birt using this Pojo(Jars)?
i do have all informations i need in my RCP application, and i do not want to persist the data i have in the rcp to a file or so.
i could even generate a POJO Data Source on the fly, and provide data, but this jar file stuff confuses me.
now all i need is create an report which takes the data directly from my RCP application. how can i do so?
it is not obvious to me how to achieve this...
Thanks for enlightment and removing the bricks in front of my eyes.
greetings
Ludwig
