Hi,
in our web-project all developer are working on one Linux-machine. Each
developer has its own interfaces, not to have a port conflict.
Eclipse WTP isn't able to debug a tomcat/jboss on these interfaces:
- It looks on all interfaces if the desired is used and doesn't start if
on any interface the port is used, even if the port is available on the
virtual interface of the developer.
- It cannot establish a connection to the started Tomcat on a virtual
interface, so WTP does not recognize the tomcat has started.
- In Europa one can set an unlimited timeout for starting a server, in
Ganymede this is not allowed anymore.

Does someone has a workaround, debugging a Tomcat, JBoss etc. on an
interface different than localhost?

Yours
Arne
