Can you send us some more details? The exact Java version that you are
running, etc.
Did you try to use an external browser for the embedded Eclipse help? There
is an option in the preferences.
And if everything fails: http://help.eclipse.org/ganymede
Thanks,

Hi Petter,
That image looks like the Help UI running in Basic UI mode. It is the
Advanced UI mode that gives the richer UI abilities (expand/collapse, etc).
The help system will show in Basic UI if the available browser is not an
advanced browser such as Firefox/Mozilla (or IE on Windows).
On Linux, Eclipse should be using the Mozilla widget. Somehow, it
doesn't look like that is working on your system.
You can try specifying "use external browser" in the Preferences - Help,
as another poster suggested. With that setting, Eclipse will try to find
your defined system browser and use it, and if it is Firefox/Mozilla,
then you'll get the advanced UI.
I'm adding eclipse.platform.ua newsgroup to this thread, as that
newsgroup covers the help system.
Best regards,
Lee Anne

Hi Petter,
I just saw that a Bugzilla bug has been opened for this symptom running
on Ubuntu 8.04.
You might want to cc yourself on this bug entry:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=238533
I think it is the same symptom/problem.
Best regards,
Lee Anne
