Hi,

We have struggled with corruption issues with CDO repositories and determined that there is no longer available access to experts in CDO able to discover the cause of the problems.

See here https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/1413455/#msg_1413455
and here https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/1413455/#msg_1413455 and here

Eike seems to be the only one with sufficient expertice in CDO to solve these problems, which he suggested were to do with some subtle multi threading problem. Our test cases pass, it is only at random the corruption of the repository occurs. Eike now seems unavailable to have a look at these problems. Once the repositories are corrupt it is easy to see the corruption. We modified the CDO code to at least extract the content to xmi files. I offered to pay for Eike to look at our repositories to determine if we can recover hundreds of hours of work, but he seems unavailable for even that. No one else on the forum responds to the open questions.

These are the things to consider if adopting CDO. Others have had no issues, but ours are plain to see. We are implementing EMFStore because it is backed by a large corporation and has an active forum and commit record in recent times, CDO has neither.
