Hello there,
I've been trying (and failing) to properly format the X axis in my charts
to display date items in a formatted manner. Regardless of what pattern I
set (automatic or custom), I keep getting the full timestamp for each
value of the X axis.
I've attached the source for my chart, which I have generated using the
Eclipse GUI
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

You will need to set the type of your X axis to "Date" so the formatting can
take effect.

The UI has been improved in 2.2.0 and I think less confusing now. All the
formatting is done in the third tab, and the format choices depend on the
axis type.

If you could post a report design sample reproducing the error, it would
help. What exactly in the chart isn't localized? The formatting? The
strings? If it's the formatting, one what item is it not applied? On the x
axis label dates? What format did you set, is it hardcoded, or a generic
format?
