Way over my head [message #1434381] Mon, 29 September 2014 22:50 Go to next message

Hello community. Let me start by saying I realize I am way over my head and realize what I am asking seems to be covered in a sticky but it might as well be in a different language because I don't understand it.

I am trying to run Eclipse for the first time, and to be quite honest I'm surprised I even got it down loaded right. More specifically I am trying to run Android SDK which pointed to eclipse and am getting the following error.

A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio. No Java Virtual machine was found after searching the following locations:

Like I said I read the http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse.ini but it is jibberish to me because I am new to programming. if someone can help me out or point me to a more easily understood fix it would be greatly appreciated.

BTW I am using windows 7 and downloaded the 64bit version.

Thanks

Sounds like you haven't installed Java from Oracle.
You can get the JDK or JRE from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/
