DS parameter binding ignored when default value empty [message #254999] Tue, 11 September 2007 07:40 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

my dataset parameter bindings for a custom dataset are ignored when the
parameter default value is empty. The ReportEngine then logs this message:
Ignored binding defined for non-exising data set parameter:
name=articleContainerID, position=-1

I wanted to ask if this is intended behaviour. Imho the bindings should
not be ignored when no default value is present as the value to use is
explicitly defined.

Best regards
Alex

Alex,

Can you provide more specific info? Which version of BIRT are you using?
What does your data set definition looks like (attaching the report design,
or snippet of the data set definition would be good)? How and when are your
data set parameter bindings got set?
