Word emitter TOC / Table of contents solution. [message #254297]

The word emitter in Birt 2.2 doesn't produce a table of contents
currently ( there is an open bug on it but it doesn't seem too active).
I am looking to create one of my own. Currently I am thinking of a
post process that runs after my report renderer which ammends the .doc XML.

Can someone propose a more elegant solution? Maybe attach a script to
one of the rendering functions?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
